Trygghetsfonden BAO-Finansförbundet

We are here to help you move forward in your working life

Individuals applying for grants

If your employment at a bank/company ends due to redundancy, you are covered by the security fund until you obtain new employment for a maximum of five years from your last day of employment. Trygghetsfonden BAO-Finansförbundet is a supplement to other resources in the labor market. Our grants are intended to provide support during your unemployment in the transition to new employment. There is no requirement that you are a member of a trade union or unemployment insurance fund.

You ARE eligible for grants if you:

  • are permanently employed and covered by a collective agreement within the banking sector, and
  • work at a company affiliated with Finansarbetsgivarna — the company must have been a member of Finansarbetsgivarna for at least one year.
  • have not reached the age of 65.

You are NOT eligible for grants if you are:

  • on a fixed-term contract/probationary employment at the time of termination
  • a retiree or contractual retiree on a full-time basis
  • a chief executive officer
  • a deputy chief executive officer in a company with more than 500 employees
  • dismissed or terminated due to personal reasons
