About us

The banking and finance industry sometimes undergoes structural changes that can lead to a reduction in the number of employees due to redundancy. This may be caused by digitalization, restructuring, mergers, or other changes in the industry.

Our task is to promote and support employees in the banking and finance sector who have been made redundant due to workforce reductions.

Employees who have been employed at banks and companies that are co-owners of Finansarbetsgivarna are covered.

Joint collaboration

Trygghetsfonden BAO-Finansförbundet is a joint collaboration between:

• The Employers' Association of the Swedish Banking Institutions (Finansarbetsgivarna)
• The trade union for employees in the banking and finance sector (Finansförbundet)

The collaboration ensures that representatives of both employers and employees work together to provide the best possible support during career transitions. The security fund contributes in various ways to facilitate the transition to a new position or other activity.

Our mission

We help individuals who have been made redundant in various ways by:

• facilitating transition to new employment
• providing financial support during unemployment
• offering financial support for skills development and retraining
• supporting those who wish to start their own business
